Versailles is set in 1667, when Louis XIV is 28 years old and becoming King of France. Created by Simon Mirren (Criminal Minds, Without a Trace) and David Wolstencroft (Spooks, The Escape Artist), and filmed on location at the Chateau de Versailles and at the legendary Studios de Bry in Paris, Versailles is a tour de force and the most expensive drama series ever produced in France. The two-hour US series premiere of Versailles is Saturday, October 1 at 10pm on Ovation TV.
