All the songs on the album are amazing in their own right. The self titled track and the bands first single "Time to Burn" rightfully exclaims haleigh f***in leiughah!!! My favorite songs on the CD are "So Loud" and "Never Enough." Each song is so different. "So Loud" is in your face metal at its finest while "Never Enough" is a little bit of a slower song but it still rocks. It shows how diverse the band is in their sound which is why they can go out on tour with All That Remains and Theory of a Deadman.  There's a little something for everyone.  Each song has amazing ripping guitar solos.  Taking Dawn definitely brings me back to a time where the guitar solo isn't a rare find.   The power behind vocalist/lead guitarist Chris Babbit's voice is a force to be reckoned with.  For me this is one of those albums I can listen to all the way through without skipping a single track.

The most unexpected song on the album for me is the last track, a cover of Fleetwood Mac's, "The Chain." Given their music, I didn’t expect them to cover a Fleetwood Mac song but they definitely made it their own.  If you are looking for a band that's an awesome throwback to the 80s but remains current then check out Taking Dawn's debut album "Time to Burn" out now!! www.takingdawn.com

Roadrunner records has been responsible for signing incredible bands such as Slipknot, Megadeth, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Machinehead and many more. One of the latest editions to the Roadrunner family is Las Vegas Nevada's Taking Dawn. Their debut album "Time to Burn" is a mix of everything that was great about 80s metal with some modern hard rock undertones.
