Barbara is by all accounts We Are Scientists‘ best album to date, featuring beat-driven, melody-wrapped, harmony-draped and lyrically-savvy tracks. W.A.S. is Keith Murray and Chris Cain. For the new album, the duo recruited a brand new set of hands and feet behind the drum kit in the shape of Master Andy Burrows (ex-Razorlight drummer).

“Rules Don’t Stop” was #1* Alternative Specialty Single at FMQB for two weeks in a row and Barbara is currently the #3* Alternative Specialty Album at FMQB.

We Are Scientists recently recorded a World Cup anthem called “Goal! ENGLAND!”  Take a look at the video and download the MP3 at www.goalengland.co.uk.  Here is what Chris had to say about the track, “People ask why we didn’t record a football anthem for America. When you want to give your girlfriend a great gift, you give her something you know she wants, not something you want. We’ve never been huge football guys, but we’re pretty big England guys, and we know her well enough to know she loves her a football anthem. So we made her one.”
