BUSH New Release September 13th and Tour Dates with Filter and Chevelle
The band will tear through a mix of classic hits and new material from upcoming album THE SEA OF MEMORIES (their first album in 10 years).
THE SEA OF MEMORIES drops on Sept 13 through the band’s own label, Zuma Rock Records.
- New lead single “The Sound of Winter” is No. 6 at Alternative Radio and No. 8 on the Billboard Rock Songs Chart. Here’s a link to the band’s recent performance of the song on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” – http://www.youtube.com/bushofficial#p/f/1/-4fxYhowBQs
- The band (lead vocalist/guitarist Gavin Rossdale, guitarist Chris Traynor, drummer Robin Goodridge and bassist Corey Britz) has been getting rave reviews for their recent warm up shows, which included sold-out gigs in NY and LA. In a review of the recent Bowery Ballroom gig in NY, Vijith Assar of the Village Voice wrote, “ “…there was no better way to get me on board than opening with the explosion of ‘Machinehead,’ the angry golden boy of 1996 alt-rock whose intro riffs still hold their own against whoever the fuck’s on your t-shirts today.”
- Available on September 13, THE SEA OF MEMORIES was produced by Bob Rock (Aerosmith, Metallica). The album’s cover art was created by popular LA street artist Retna.
- On September 21, Gavin Rossdale will appear on “Chelsea Lately” and on September 22, Bush will perform on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
Rossdale recently guest-starred as an arms dealer named Armand on the USA Network hit show, “Burn Notice.”
- Over the course of their remarkable career, Bush has sold more than 16 million albums in the U.S. and Canada alone. They’ve also compiled an amazing string of 14 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, including 10 that hit the Top 5. Four of these became No. 1 hits: “Comedown,” “Glycerine,” “Swallowed” and “The Chemicals Between Us.”
