twelvefootninja03Twelve Foot Ninja has announced plans to embark on a headlining tour of North America. The April/May trek will coincide with a handful of appearances at some of the premier U.S. rock festivals, including Rock On The Range and Carolina Rebellion. The tour will find the Australian group performing in support of its critically acclaimed full-length album, Silent Machine. A full rundown of dates for the tour can be seen below.

Showcasing the group’s refreshing blend of metal with a turn-on-a-dime experimental side, Silent Machine received its official North American release in October 2013, and crept into the Top 20 of CMJ’s Loud Rock music charts. SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal quickly jumped on board, and its listeners awarded Twelve Foot Ninja the titles Best Artist Discovery of 2013 and Best Song Discovery for the album’s opening track, “Coming For You.” Twelve Foot Ninja has also been championed by Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater/Avenged Sevenfold), Dino Cazares (Fear Factory), Misha Mansoor (Periphery), Chris Broderick (Megadeth) and Wolf Van Halen (Van Halen/Tremonti).

Twelve Foot Ninja kicked off 2014 by premiering the long-awaited music video for the song “Ain’t That A Bitch.” Promising to create an action-packed and gory tale of retribution against an internet troll, the group was able to successfully raise over $45,000 to make the video, breaking a world record for the most amount crowd funded for a standalone music video or short film. To help the band bring their over-the-top vision to life, the band called on Penthouse Magazine “Pet” Madison Rhys, a seven-foot-tall Alaskan brown bear, and longtime supporters Periphery to make appearances in the video, as well as assistance from a prosthetics make-up artist who worked on the film The Hobbit.
