CRISTINA SANTANA IS ELIMINATED ON “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE”
TOP 9 FINALISTS COMPETE ON NEXT PERFORMANCE SHOWWEDNESDAY, JUNE 30, ON FOX
Ne-Yo and Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil Perform on Next Results Show Thursday, July 1
Finalist Cristina Santana, 24, a Salsa dancer from San Diego, was eliminated tonight on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. After America’s vote was revealed, Cristina Santana, Melinda Sullivan and Robert Roldan were the three dancers who received the fewest votes. Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mia Michaels and Adam Shankman asked the three finalists to perform a solo routine and then eliminated Cristina Santana.
This week’s results show also featured special performances by Latin singing sensation Debi Nova and dance crew RemoteKontrol.
The competition continues next week on America’s favorite dance show when the remaining 9 finalists (Billy Bell, Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman, Ashley Galvan, Robert Roldan, Jose Ruiz, Melinda Sullivan, Adéchiké Torbert and Alex Wong) compete once again on a two-hour live performance show airing Wednesday, June 30 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.
Tune in the following night, Thursday, July 1 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live PT/tape-delayed) to find out which dancer will be sent home next and for a special performance by Ne-Yo of “Beautiful Monster,” and a number from the cast members from Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The performance will feature twenty dancers and acrobats performing a specially choreographed version of “Return to Sender.”
