USA NETWORK PRESS RELEASE: USA NETWORK ORIGINAL SERIES “IN PLAIN SIGHT” RETURNS SUNDAY, MAY 1 AT 10/9C. Fourth Season Guest Stars include Former Stars from “The West Wing,” Actors Bradley Whitford and D.W. Moffett, and Joshua Malina, Who Returns as a Series Regular. IN PLAIN SIGHT, USA Network’s hit original scripted series starring Mary McCormack, will return for season four on a new night, Sunday, May 1 at 10/9c. This year two new executive producers, Ed Decter (“The Closer,” “There’s Something About Mary”) and John Strauss (“The Closer,” “There’s Something About Mary”), helm as series’ showrunners. IN PLAIN SIGHT is shot entirely on location in and around Albuquerque, NM. IN PLAIN SIGHT was one of the top ten most watched scripted series on basic cable last year with 4.5 million total viewers. IN PLAIN SIGHT debuted as the #1 new series on cable in 2008 and continues its significant ratings role in USA’s success as the #1 cable network. The show stars McCormack as Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal working in the highly secretive branch of the witness protection program (WITSEC) who relocates Federal Witnesses, most of whom fall into three categories: career criminals, whistle-blowers or innocents who had the misfortune of witnessing a crime. They all have one thing in common – someone wants them dead. Mary’s job is to see that doesn’t happen, while at the same time attempting to manage her own dysfunctional family. IN PLAIN SIGHT also stars Frederick Weller, Nichole Hiltz and Paul Ben-Victor. Joshua Malina, who plays Brandi’s (Hiltz) boyfriend Peter, returns as a series regular. Guest stars for season four include Bradley Whitford, a career military man who enters WITSEC; and Rachel Boston, an ABQPD detective who happens to be Marshall’s girlfriend. D.W. Moffett, John de Lancie and Ali Marsh will also appear this season. Academy Award nominee Lesley Ann Warren returns in her recurring role as Mary and Brandi’s mother, Jinx. In the upcoming season, the lives of our favorite Albuquerque characters change as Marshall (Weller) gains a new love interest (Boston), Brandi (Hiltz) gets engaged to Peter (Malina), and Mary reluctantly helps plan the wedding. IN PLAIN SIGHT is produced by Universal Cable Productions and is filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Executive producers for season four are Ed Decter and John Strauss. USA Network is the #1 network in all of basic cable and is seen in over 102 million U.S. homes. A division of NBC Universal, USA is the cable television leader in original series and home to the best in blockbuster theatrical films, acquired television series and entertainment events.
IN PLAIN SIGHT “The Art of the Steal” Season 4 Premiere Advance Review, Airing 5/1/2011
IN PLAIN SIGHT returns and federal witnesses can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Mary Shannon and Marshall Mann have got their backs. Last season ended on an interesting note with Mary (Mary McCormack) taking a much needed vacation with none other than Mike Faber (Steven Weber). As you know, Mary is pregnant in real life and they have decided to write it into the storyline so I am hoping that Faber is the father. I’m a Steven Weber fan so of course I would love to see more of him in the show. Unfortunately, we will have to wait and see who the baby’s daddy is. I do also miss seeing Mary with Raphael Ramirez (Cristian de la Fuente). Maybe they will throw us a curve ball and bring him back or they could take us by surprise and make Marshall (Fred Weller) the dad. That would be a different twist but talk about a power couple. What are your thoughts on a romantic relationship between Marshall and Mary? I would not want to see them together because I feel their love for one another is more of a brother and sister kind of love but I figured I would cover all of the baby bases. I’m going with Faber as my guess for who is going to be the father of Mary’s baby. Who do you think it is going to be?
