‘The All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration’ airs tonight on FOX

CUwfagcWUAA_KSdTHE ALL-STAR DOG RESCUE CELEBRATION airing Thanksgiving night, Thursday, Nov. 26 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, will honor select organizations and everyday citizens who are on the frontline of the rescue movement by helping to save, care for and find loving homes for the more than eight million animals that enter shelters each year. Country music icon Emmylou Harris and rescue organizations Fences for Fido, Dogs on Deployment and Wings of Rescue will be honored for their work with rescue dogs. Eugene Bostick and Michael Schoepf also will be honored as ordinary citizens doing extraordinary things to better the lives of rescue animals.

Recording artist Andra Day will join Emmylou Harris for a special performance. In addition, Stevie Wonder, Zachary Levi, Andy Cohen, Randy Jackson, Dwight Yoakam, Ross Matthews, Linda Blair and Wendie Malick will join previously announced stars scheduled to appear, Miley Cyrus, Chelsea Handler, Paula Abdul, Carrie Ann Inaba, Cesar Millan, Florida Georgia Line, Kathy Griffin, Scarlett Johansson, Whitney Cummings, Olivia Munn, Emmy Rossum, Sia and Zendaya.

THE ALL-STAR DOG RESCUE CELEBRATION, is a one-of-a-kind event celebrating America’s rescue dogs, raising awareness of dog-related issues and encouraging people to adopt rescue animals. Throughout the two-hour family-friendly special, celebrity guests will introduce the audience to adoptable rescue dogs and honor the people who dedicate their lives to caring for animals in need.

Voting for the PEDIGREE® Cutest Puppy Award is now open. Viewers can vote for their favorite Puppy at FOX.com/CutestPuppy or tweet their puppy nominee’s hashtag to Twitter by using #PuppyBigLarry, #PuppySamantha, #PuppyLadyFlattery, #PuppyPeanutButter or #PuppyClover. Winner will be announced Friday, Nov. 27th on the show’s website and socially.

During the special, viewers will be provided with information regarding adoptable animals in their local areas. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to make donations directly to the Petfinder Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization that supports shelters and rescue groups nationwide. Viewers can donate via a text number provided during the broadcast or online.  Information on how to donate directly to Petfinder Foundation online can be found at http://www.fox.com/the-all-star-dogrescue-celebration. Donations will be accepted by Petfinder Foundation during the broadcast and for a period of one year after the show airs.
