Tonight on American Horror Story: Coven, an “invisible” man says hello and Cordelia’s new power brings her closer to the truth. Also, my favorite tortured soul is back. “The Axeman Cometh” – Zoe, Queenie, and Nan make contact with a dark spirit trapped in the Academy. Cordelia’s new power brings on a heartbreaking revelation. Written by Douglas Petrie; Directed by Michael Uppendahl.
We are brought back to 1919 to meet someone that loves jazz music perhaps a bit too much. His findings take a bit of a turn in a different direction and that brings us to present day. When Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) discovers a spirit board she fails to listen to the only two sane minds in the house, Nan (Jamie Brewer) and Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe).
Fiona (Jessica Lange) knows what is important and does the right thing, even though she is going to pay with the one thing that means the most to her. She has the ability to be there for others when she can’t be there for herself. Did your tear up last week when she gave the mother and baby a second chance? In the end, will she pay the ultimate price?
Cordelia Foxx (Sarah Paulson) proves that she’s a survivor but will her new gift contribute to the end of the world that she once knew. Would you want that kind of power? It’s really a gift and a curse. Hank Foxx (Josh Hamilton) is going to have to answer for his actions. Again, what the hell is that guy up to? Luckily, Fiona is around to bring insults back. I haven’t heard that one in a long time, well done, Fiona. I know Fiona has done, and continues to do, some very horrible things, but you have to respect her for her gravitas and that wardrobe. I would love to raid Fiona’s closet.
Spalding (Denis O’Hare) “says” what we know, but don’t truly want to know. You know? Also, that is quite a doll collection he has going on there. He’s a uniquely hungry individual and part of me likes him for it. Do you know how hard it is to find a man that loyal? Sometimes you just have to let things slide.
Who is this witch hunter that Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett) has sent to collect heads? Marie sets the record straight on exactly who she is not. She really means business this time.
Misty Day (Lily Rabe) certainly has an interesting garden. Who is responsible for killing her only companion? On a side note, how does Misty know what my dog’s nickname is? It was revealed this week that Stevie Nicks will be guest starring on the show. I can’t wait until Misty meets Stevie. That is going to be a monumental moment.
We finally see more of Kyle (Evan Peters) tonight. Where has he been hiding? Those scenes with his mom can’t simply be washed away.
What are a couple of things that you can do to secure a husband? You will find out tonight. You leaguers will be very happy. What does the other side look like? Apparently, it’s not paved with cigarettes or ginger ale.
Cordelia gets an unwelcomed surprise when The Axeman (Danny Huston) comes looking for a release – no, not that kind you filthy, filthy person. At least The Axeman is polite. He has that going for him if you want to ignore the axe wielding murderous psychopathic side of his existence. Poor Cordelia! Hasn’t she suffered enough?
Tune in tonight for another classic episode of terror and intrigue. You are not going to want to miss American Horror Story: Coven – “The Axeman Cometh.”
American Horror Story: Coven airs Wednesday nights at 10 on FX.
